A 10-year-old minor was surprised on Monday afternoon by officers of the Public Force with 176 doses of marijuana and 150 thousand colones. The incident occurred in Río Azul of the canton La Unión, in the province of Cartago.
This was confirmed by the regional director of the Public Forces of that province, Enrique Arguedas, who indicated that the child left a house where its residents used to sell drugs.
According to the hierarch, the minor was approached by the police for prevention when they saw him leave that house. He was taken to the police delegation to do the drug counting and coordinations were carried out with the National Children’s Trust (PANI) in his mother’s presence.
