An operation carried out on June, 25th in Cañas de Belén, Guanacaste, resulted in the arrest of a man and the seizure of 180 kilograms of cocaine.
In the evening hours, officers found a small plane and two vehicles fleeing the site at high speed.
After following them, the officers managed to find a black Toyota with 180 kilos of cocaine and a Costa Rican man named López.
The other vehicle was found empty and abandoned.
After a preliminary review, the authorities realized the aircraft’s registration did not legally correspond to it.
