24 out of 81 municipalities have already said ‘no’ to the Dry Law during the Independence Day’s celebrations, on September 15th.
The municipalities that confirmed that they would not restrict the sale of alcoholic drinks are:
San José: Alajuelita, Desamparados, Escazú, León Cortés, Mora.
Alajuela: Atenas, Guatuso, Palmares, San Carlos.
Heredia: San Rafael, Sarapiquí.
Cártago: La Unión, Oreamuno.
Guanacaste: Abangares, Carrillo, Nicoya, Santa Cruz.
Limón: Guácimo, Pococí, Talamanca
Puntarenas: Coto Brus, Buenos Aires, Golfito, Quepos.
Municipalities that are going to comply with the Dry Law:
Municipality of Heredia: District 1, from 5 am to 3 pm.
Municipality of Alajuelita: from midnight to 3 pm, but it will apply just in the districts where there will be parades (San Antonio is not apparently included).
Municipality of Tibás: from 8 am to 3 pm.
Municipality of Moravia: from 6 am to 12 noon around the parades´ route perimeter.
Municipality of Goicoechea: from 7:30 am to 3 pm from Guadalupe’s Walmart to the north side of the Church of Guadalupe and from Los Cafetos Urbanization to Delta en el Alto service station.
Municipality of Esparza: from 7 am to 2 pm in a 150-meter perimeter from the parade route.
