25th mega-operation was a huge success

The 25th national mega-operation was held on Friday night, which allowed the arrest of several people, as well as the confiscation of vehicles, weapons, and contraband liquor in several areas of the country.

According to the report of the Ministry of Public Security (MSP), the mega-operation had positive results for the authorities, such as:
• 346 vehicles, and 1,943 motorcycles confiscated
• 68 arrests, including 15 arrest warrants, seven flagrancies, as well as 38 apprehensions by Migration.
• 11 firearms confiscated.
• 60 bottles 240 cans and of liquor

Michael Soto, Minister of Security made a tour in the province of Limón, accompanied by the general director of the Public Force Daniel Caderón and legislator Marulín Azofeifa from the National Restoration Party, in order to meet with various sectors of the Caribbean.

The Security Minister participated in the First Forum of Business Security in the Caribbean Region in which he urged entrepreneurs to join in the fight against crime and promote values among their employees.

The minister also visited the facilities of APM Terminals with the objective of knowing the security that it will offer for exports and imports. He also met with the legislator from the National Liberation Party Yorleny León to discuss some security issues in the area.

The visit to Limón was also used by the security chief to meet with the members of the Chinese Association, who used the meeting to reach agreements to improve their security.
