From 2017, the Income Certification will no longer be in paper in the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS). However, insured people don’t know how the new system will work and although it is not required for health care and services from the Fund, it may be required in other services, such as banks.
According to María del Rocío Sáenz, 13 million Income Certification are printed every month.
There are 3 ways to register for the SICERE’s virtual office and obtain a password to access your information.
1) Go to the central offices or branches of the Fund.
2) If you have a digital signature, you can enter the CCSS website and enter the Online Services tab. Then, go to the SICERE Virtual Office. By doing this, you can consult your Income Certification data.
3) Online self-registration, which is done by accessing this link and following the instructions to get the document.
Users can have access not only to the certification information: they can also consult their contributions to the Labor Capitalization Fund (FCF), their working records, etc.
