Acueductos y Alcantarillados (AyA) reported that around 370 thousand people will not have water on Tuesday in some sectors, due to the maintenance of the treatment plant in Tres Ríos.
The suspension will be from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and includes places such as San José, Curridabat, Desamparados, Montes de Oca, Goicoechea, El Carmen and La Unión.
The suspension also affects the Central canton of Cartago and Paraíso, although those systems are not administered by AyA.
It is recommended that the affected population take the necessary measures. If possible, the service will be restored sooner. Aya calls on the population to use water properly and responsibly, and only store what is required for basic needs.
