Upala, Guatuso, Los Chiles, Bagaces, Golfito and Corredores won’t start classes to continue with the red alert declared by the Emergency Operations Center (COE) from the National Emergency Commission (CNE).
However, 3,896 schools in the country (87.3% of those that had suspended classes), will start operating on November 28th.
According to investigations conducted by the Ministry of Public Education (MEP) in the different, regional offices in the country, 305 schools have some problems that do not allow them to resume lessons. These problems are related to access, infrastructure, basic services or because they are used as shelters.
The recommendation for parents and students is to be alert to changes in the situation of different educational institutions, which will be constantly updated.
