Communications Minister, Mauricio Herrera, confirmed 600 more migrants, mostly Haitians, arrived this weekend.
Some are still at the border paying their own expenses, while others were transferred to some of the closest attention centers, because Panama does not allow them to be returned.
The situation at the moment is complex because more Cubans, who are stranded in Turbo, northwestern Colombia, are expected to come, seeking to reach the United States.

said Herrera.
Their fingerprints and photographs are taken and they are given a period of 25 days to request a temporary immigration permit, while it is determined whether to deport them or allow them to follow their path to other countries.
The migrants are from Congo, Senegal, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Togo, Nepal, Bangladesh, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Burkina Faso, India, South Africa and Sudan, among others.
