7-year-old Juan José Arias is a great role model!

On November 26th, a 7-year-old child interrupted the meeting of the Emergency Operations Center (COE) in which the Government was evaluating the various rescue operations related to Hurricane Otto.

The child is called Juan José Arias and he was presented to the authorities after he worked for 2 days with dozens of Costa Ricans to collect food through the Red Cross.

President Luis Guillermo Solís gave a recognition to the minor, who along with his mother Karla Araya, received the applause of the highest authorities of the State.

The child declared that his intention was to help dozens of Costa Ricans who lost their homes in Upala and Bagaces.
