A US tourist was rescued on Wednesday afternoon by Coast Guards from Flamingo Station.

The tourist was identified as Chandu Chandhari, 77, who had severe chest pain while on board the sailboat Panache, in front of Danta Beach, Flamingo, in Santa Cruz de Guanacaste.

After receiving the call for help from the captain of the ship, the National Coast Guard Service immediately sent officers to pick up the patient in Potrero Bay.
