911 system restored after technical failure

The Emergency System 911 was affected after a series of technical failures that affect the Internet and call center operations.

As confirmed by the Costa Rican Institute of Electricity (ICE), the service has already been fully restored.

Of course, it was necessary to activate a contingency measure against the technical breakdown. The Emergency System personnel answered the calls from the Contact Center of the Costa Rican Institute of Electricity (ICE) in San Pedro.

All calls are being channeled to the different emergency services, while specialized ICE personnel work to solve the problem as soon as possible,”

said the Costa Rican Electricity Institute.

The authorities asked the population to call 911 only in case of a true emergency.
