The Chamber of Entrepreneurs of fuel is asking citizens to remain calm to the effects that might cause the arrival of Hurricane Otto to the Caribbean coast.
President Luis Guillermo Solís asked on Tuesday morning to
not buy gasoline like crazy”
and ensured a smooth supply.
Antonio Galva, President of the Chamber, said that the president’s statements were right and joined the petition for caution.
According to the representative of employers, each station has enough supplies for three days and RECOPE campuses have reserves for up to 60 days.
In case of damages on Limón campus, Galva said that the institution can respond with the other stations: Ochomogo in Cartago, Puntarenas and La Garita in Alajuela.
The Fuel Chamber hopes the consequences of Hurricane Otto pass quickly. This phenomenon would strongly affect the country between Thursday and Friday.
