Labor Minister Carlos Alvarado considered Harold Villegas’ decision to resign his position as deputy minister of Labor after the controversy over his participation in a party with liquor in the Cooperative building last Friday, in the middle of the emergency due to Hurricane Otto.
The investigation that they were carrying out of the case was interrupted after Villegas’ decision, since the activity in which the former deputy minister participated was not organized by the Labor Ministry.
Regardless of what happened, Alvarado acknowledged the work done by the former official.
The ministry is already studying potential candidates for the position, which they hope will be appointed before the end of this year.
