Karina Monge started using Uber as a quick option to move. However, after being charged 74,000 colones for a 4-kilometers travel, she assured that she will think it twice before using the application.
She traveled 4.47 kilometers with her children: it lasted 30 minutes and it became the most expensive trip of her life.
Karina made the complaint, but she has not received a reply or her money back so far.
CRHoy tried to know Uber’s position. Communications manager for Central America Julie Robinson merely gave details on how users can file a wrong charge:
For situations where users have some inconvenience with the trip or the payment, they should go to the” Help “section in the application, there they can inform about the situation. They can also enter the hyperlink at the end of their invoice; it will take them to their user’s profile.
Monge hopes that the application gives her money back.
