Turrialba volcano maintains a constant activity. Blas Sánchez, a geologist at the National Emergency Commission (CNE), reported that the emanation of gases and ash persists.
The report indicates that the wind direction, mostly to the west, would allow ash to continue arriving to the Central Valley.
Gray clouds, as the ones in the picture, are taking gases, aerosols, water vapor and ashes to the Central valley and other places (depending on the wind direction),
stated the report.
Since January 3rd, the ash fall has increased in the Central Valley: Heredia, Guadalupe, Coronado and San José were some of the most affected areas.
