At least 5 subjects were arrested on Thursday on suspicion of using people to pose as property owners to defraud potential buyers.
According to reports from the Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) the suspects were linked to four crimes for allegedly selling properties through registration frauds in Guanacaste.
The suspects are four men of 39, 47, 52 and 54 years old, as well as a 31-year-old woman. They are now in the hands of the Public Ministries since they appear like suspects of the crime of ideological falsity.
In total, the judicial agents raided 3 houses, in Heredia and San José.
