A young Syrian refugee could benefit from a full scholarship in Costa Rica thanks to the Cenfotec University and the Habesha Project.
The process is currently collecting the applicants’ data and the chosen one would arrive in the country in late April or early May.
The armed conflict in Syria has forced 4.8 million people to move outside their national borders.
That is why the Habesha Project represents an alternative-management mechanism that offers the possibility for Syrian refugee students, selected by several international entities, to finish their university studies in America and to be protagonists of the reconstruction and peace in Syria.
Costa Rica is part of this project, and for this reason, Cenfotec will grant a full scholarship for computer systems administration or software engineering careers.
According to the organizations, there are several applicants, two of themĀ are already in the interview process. Some of the candidates are still in Syria and others are refugees outside the conflict area.
In addition to the scholarship, the chosen person will be offered Spanish leveling courses, as well as a monthly fee to cover basic needs such as rent, food and other necessities.
