Four flights departing from Costa Rica to land in the United States were canceled between Monday night and Tuesday morning, following a snowstorm affecting the United States.
Juan Belliard, director of Operations at AERIS, the concessionaire of the Juan Santamaría airport, said the first one was reported on Monday night.
The canceled flights were supposed to come and go from Newark, New Jersey.
Belliard added that cancellations occur because Houston and New Jersey are some of the most impacted areas and are related to the country, as origin or destination, or as air connections.
The man advised passengers to contact their airlines to reschedule flights.
