On Wednesday afternoon, a crocodile attacked an 18-year-old man at Playa Azul, located near the Tárcoles River, where tours are usually made to see these animals.
The man, whose identity is unknown, was transferred in stable conditions to Jacó’s clinic, however, he had important injuries in his feet, according to the Costa Rican Red Cross.
At about 1:13 p.m. the paramedics received the alert. Apparently, the young man tried to feed the animal when he was the victim of the attack, according to Silvia Mesén, from the Red Cross.
Currently, authorities are looking for the reptile in the area.
