The Municipality of Tibás is holding the traditional celebrations of San Juan Bautista, after 20 years of absence.
The festivities seek to rescue the union of the residents of the canton. Some of the programmed activities are carousels, traditional games, artisans’ fair, dances, marimar, masquerade and San Juan race.
The street in front of the Palí supermarket will be closed throughout the week and on June 25th, the entire quadrant of the park will be closed on the occasion of the first recreational Sunday, an activity that is expected to continue on the last weekend of each month.
One the most striking activities is Sapri Noche on June 21th, as well as Pollilla Ball with Lubín Barahona and his Orchestra on June 23rd. On June 24th, the day of Saint John the Baptist, there will be cimarrona and masquerade, serenade in the Catholic temple and a Concert at night.
The Municipality has all the permits from the Ministries of Health, Public Works and Transport (MOPT), support of the Public Force, the Red Cross and the Fire Department.
