According to the surveillance chamber of the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI),Turrialba volcano emitted aerosols and ash.
Blas Sánchez, a geologist at the National Emergency Commission (CNE) reported that the emission is weak and accompanied by an eruption that does not exceed 300 meters above the crater.
According to the meteorological station of the National Meteorological Institute (IMN), the wind disperses the materials towards the north-northwest, near Braulio Carrillo.
