Yesterday, hundreds of passengers showed their discomfort at the Juan Santamaría International Airport, due to a fault in the Migration systems, which also affected the Daniel Oduber airport in Liberia.
The Directorate General of Migration and Foreigners (DGME) informed that the incident occurred as a result of an impact on the immigration control system. The institution verified and confirmed that the network and internal databases were functioning normally. The external aspects responsible for the incident are investigated to issue the respective report.
Both in Juan Santamaría and Daniel Oduber, passengers and flights complied with the corresponding review. In addition, they entered and left Costa Rica with due immigration control. The entity added that there were no delays in any flight, nor did any person lose their trip or connection. The only problems were the long lines, while the migratory control was carried out.
