At least six Americans were injured on Tuesday when a plane crashed while landing at an airport in the Honduran capital. The deputy head of the Permanent Contingency Commission (Copeco), Carlos Cordero, told local media that at least six people were transferred to the state Hospital Escuela.
He reported that the commercial aircraft from Austin, Texas, United States, left the short runway of Toncontín airport, in the south of Tegucigalpa, during the landing and fell into a small abyss until being split in two on a road.
