An Italian businessman was a victim of a shootout in Los Yoses and died shortly after his admission in the Emergency Room at Calderón Guardia Hospital.

multiple injuries to the liver, intestines, and suffered a hypovolemic shock, meaning the blood loss was massive.”
The time of death of the man, identified with the surname Salvatore, was confirmed at 1:05 p.m. His girlfriend, an Ecuadoran national surnamed López, is still in the hospital.
Salvatore owned Tierra Nuestra Latina, a company that exported agricultural products. He used to visit the country once a month to see how his company progressed. According to a company official, Salvatore and his girlfriend lived most of the time between Italy and Spain and came to Costa Rica every four weeks.
