On World Bicycle Day, dozens of cyclists took the bike path in the capital within the framework of the international celebration. Dozens of people were part of a tour that began at the University of Costa Rica (UCR), in San Pedro de Montes de Oca at 8:00 a.m. and extended to Paseo Colón.
Some important figures, such as Carolina Hidalgo, legislator of Citizen Action Party (PAC) and president of the Legislative Assembly, participated in the activity, designed for the whole family.
After 10:00 a.m. the cyclists advanced towards the Paseo Colón where family activities took place until noon. The mayors of San José and Montes de Oca, Johnny Araya and Marcel Soler, as well as security officials joined the event.
