The President of Chile, Sebastián Piñera, and his wife Cecilia Morel, will make an official visit to Costa Rica on July 9th, and they will be received by President Carlos Alvarado and the First Lady, Claudia Dobles.
The reception will take place in the Presidential House in the morning hours of Monday. This will be the first time that both leaders meet and it represents an opportunity to reaffirm the commitment of the Presidents – who recently took office – to continue with political dialogue, as well as the agreements reached regarding cooperation and the promotion of commercial relations.
During Piñera’s visit to Costa Rica, opportunities will be explored to continue with the bilateral dialogue, inspired by the strengthening of democracy, the full promotion of human rights and individual liberties, the struggle for peace and disarmament, as well as the protection of the environment, and the pursuit of human development.
Other issues that will be addressed in the meeting are related to urban mobility and the cooperation agenda between the two countries.
The official delegation of the government of Chile will arrive in Costa Rica on Sunday afternoon and will leave the country on Monday.
