A security officer of a private condominium joined forces with a criminal group to assault and kill an 80-year-old German woman who lived in Piedades de Santa Ana.
The Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) arrested three people linked to the death of the woman identified as Rosemarie Dietich. She was a pensioner of a German bank and had been living in Costa Rica for more than 30 years.
The events occurred on September 20th and the woman was found by the National Air Surveillance Service next to Juan Santamaría Airport. The body was in a vehicle wrapped in sheets. Police authorities say that the subjects stole jewelry and a cell phone.
The suspects respond to the surnames Granados, Alvarado, and De la O.
The authorities indicated that the criminals made up a fake taxi service through an electronic platform to enter the condominium, where there is only one exit and one entrance.
In addition, the investigation determined the complicity of the officer.
The arrests were made after raids on Carrizal and Coronado.
