On Wednesday, President Carlos Alvarado instructed that within a month a commission made up of several institutions to submit a reform to the regulation of Health, Sickness and Maternity Insurance.
The reform -said Alvarado- is for parents to have co-responsibility in the upbringing of their children. The measures must include both the public and private sectors.
The order of the president was given by signing a decree. The activity was carried out in the Cecudi of San Isidro de Heredia. The reform to this regulation must be presented to the Board of Directors of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund.
With the creation of this Commission, the Administration Alvarado Quesada reaffirms its commitment to an inclusive vision of upbringing, which seeks to promote a family education that is assumed equally by men and women,”
said the president.
