The Chamber of Industries (ICRC) insists on the need to approve dual education and the creation of an innovation agency in the country.
The entity echoes OECD estimates, where more than half of occupations with high automation risk will need innovation for workers to make the transition to better quality and safer jobs.
Both the national science, technology and innovation indicators and the studies that we have developed internally, show us that companies are innovating, but not necessarily to a radical degree that will lead them to introduce innovations at an international level,”
explained Enrique Egloff, president of the Chamber of Industries.
The entity reiterated the importance of aligning actions between government, private enterprise and the education system to help close gaps in competitiveness and generate more employment.
The objective of dual education is to provide students over 15 years old with knowledge, skills and abilities that allow their incorporation and adaptation to the world of work.
In addition, students would ger professional experience in alternative learning environments between educational institutions and training companies, strengthen professional skills and encourage an appropriate transition from the classroom to work.
