The Ministry of Public Security will impose criminal charges on people who are caught throwing materials to obstruct roads.
This Tuesday, two wagons pulled sand and stones on a road in Muelle de San Carlos in order to obstruct the passage. In addition, the Public Force denounced that a group of demonstrators on the bridge over the Arenal River, in Monterrey, San Carlos, put at risk the life of a minor who was taken in an ambulance to the local hospital.
Those who are arrested would be prosecuted for the crime of obstruction of public roads, according to Article 263 bis of the Criminal Code. This offense includes penalties of up to 30 days in prison.
Similarly, those who are caught throwing materials to obstruct free transit in bridges or roads will also be apprehended and referred to the appropriate prosecutor,”
