President Luis Guillermo Solis declared that Costa Rican Railway Institute (INCOFER) president must be appointed within the next eight days so that, the service is not affected. On July 17th, Guillermo Santana resigned as head of INCOFER for personal reasons.
On June 28th, Modernization Law was signed. As a result, the new president will be able to update Costa Rican trains.
