The Board of Directors from the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) approved a 3.4 billion colones budget for 2017.
the CCSS allocated 2.1 billion colones for Health Insurance, 1.1 billion colones for the Disability, Old Age and Death Department (IVM) and 149,667 million colones for the Non-Contributory Pension Department.
In addition, more than 145 billion colones were allocated for medicines, over 51 billion colones will be invested in infrastructure and 73,840 million colones in equipment. Furthermore, according to the institution, the amounts increased in order to continue improving the maternity services in the country.
The spending plan will be delivered to the Comptroller General of the Republic for its approval.
