President of the Chamber of Commerce of Costa Rica, Yolanda Fernández, gave some tips on how to shop on Black Friday (November 25th) or throughout the rest of the month, as some commercial establishments advance discounts.
-Make a budget: There are families who go shopping and do not know how much money they have and they are tempted by irresistible offers. According to the survey conducted by the Chamber of Commerce, products such as clothing, accessories, grocery and electronics will have from 10% to 60% discounts. Be smart and do not buy everything you see.
-Do not focus only on Black Friday: Businesses have changed their sales strategies and not only publish special offers that day, but manage to make profits the entire month of November.
-Walk, compare and buy: 71% of companies are preparing discounts and promotions for this year so it’s good to find the best prices especially in products related to technology, clothing and footwear, household appliances.
-Take advantage of social networks: Before, people only knew about promotions through advertisements published in the media. However, now Facebook and Twitter are excellent allies for everyone.
-Check in advance all commercial store policies: it is a good idea to know trade and refund policies.
Fernández declared that they have trained their members in order not to make mistakes so they can take advantage of these dates.
