A craving’s awakening: arrives “Festival Siropeando”

Ice, sirop, condensed milk, and powder milk are the main ingredients of the famous ‘granizado’ (slush), a popular frozen dessert in Costa Rica.

Even though you’re probably thinking in going to Caldera or by the surroundings of ‘Basílica de los Ángeles’, this Thursday May 19 you won’t have to go until there to enjoy this frozen treat.

Festival Siropeando will get going from 10 am, an activity that will gather 20 ‘coperos’ (makers of frozen dessert) from all over the country at the south side of Estadio Nacional in the Metropolitan Park La Sabana.

The activity is an initiative of ‘despertar de un antojo’ (craving’s awakening): the churchill, a variety of ‘granizado’ with ice-cream and cake.

It’s an homage to the ‘copero’ and to the ‘granizado’. The goal is to empower ‘coperos’ in quality of their products, in image, in hygiene and that everyday they carry all required documentation”, said Sabrina Piedra, commercial director of Siropes Cruz Blanca the ones organizing the event.

The event will go on until 6:00 pm and besides enjoying the refreshment visitors can find all information about it.

Festival Siropeando will coincide with the concert fo the Spaniard pop-star Alejandro Sanz, whose world tour is called “Siropeando”.
