A jaguar was killed in San Carlos

A jaguar, which is an endangered species in Costa Rica, was recently killed in a shelter in San Carlos.

Those suspected of committing such a cruelty are a group dedicated to illegal hunting.

Apparently, the subjects, who would be from Pital de San Carlos and San Ramón de Alajuela, are poachers; They would have animals, equipment and tools to carry out the illicit activity.

The feline was murdered about 22 days ago: the hunters were apparently angry because of the death of a dog they used to hunt. The canine was apparently attacked by a jaguar, after the cane invaded its natural habitat.

The atrocious event took place at Maquenque National Shelter of Mixed Wildlife, in the sector of Chaparrón de Pital.
