The valuation Costa Ricans make when buying a house is not positive.
According to the latest survey on consumer confidence, conducted by the University of Costa Rica (UCR), it is seen that negative opinions are more common than the positive ones. This situation has not changed in the last years.
As stated in the survey, 54% of respondents believe that it is a bad moment to buy a house and 65% believe that it is not the time to buy a vehicle.
The purchase of durable goods serves as an indicator of consumers’ expectations about the direction of the economy.
The greater the willingness to buy, the greater the confidence in the future of personal and family finances.
