On Wednesday, President Carlos Alvarado Quesada sworn in Ricardo Marín Azofeifa as the new Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security in charge of the Labor area.
Marín will replace Juan Alfaro López who was appointed as deputy minister of the Presidency.
Marín Azofeifa will be in charge of the ministerial directorates that have a direct relationship with employer-employee relations, the National Directorate of Labor Inspection and the Directorate of Labor Affairs.
The new deputy minister has a degree in Law, with a specialty in notarial and registry law. He has experience in Labor and Collective Law.
Previously, he worked as a legal advisor in the National Board of Pensions and as a conciliator of the Labor Relations Department.
