On Monday morning several Africans who are in Peñas Blancas, allegedly sought to evade immigration authorities and cross the border to Nicaragua.
The authorities and Immigration press confirmed the situation, but they said it is just an “accumulation” of people in that area.
Although the number of individuals was not specified, the immigration press added that foreigners have gone through the formalities without interference.
Immigration ruled out assaults or violent acts being reported, and that for the time being the staff of the Public Force is in charge of containment in the area.
There are alerts of irregular passage of Africans and Asians, from places like Zambia, New Guinea, Mali, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Nepal and the Philippines since April this year.
