Albino Vargas, regarding Fiscal Plan: “The fight continues”

On Monday afternoon, Albino Vargas, secretary general of the National Association of Public and Private Employees (ANEP), said

The fight against the Fiscal combo has been correct [and] morally up to the task, with great ethics,”

after the approval of the Fiscal Plan in the National Assembly in second reading.

In a video, the leader indicated they have fought, given arguments and proposals against the Fiscal Plan,

but unfortunately a series of factors of political order came together and even dragged the Constitutional Court of the Republic. However, the fight will continue. We have many open fronts and many reasons to continue fighting, because these have been transparent and honest fights without any political agenda,”

said Vargas.

Vargas warned that Costa Rica in terms of inequality, corruption and extending poverty will grow.

Today we have a government union, which we have called PUSC-PAC, in conjunction with a media machine at the service of the interests of a minority that are not the common good,”

explained Vargas.

The trade unionist assured his union members that they must have the full certainty that the organization will continue in the transition of the fundamental values that have marked the actions of the socio-political unionism applied in the ANEP all these years.

Not a step back and with the head held high, to continue fighting,”

concluded Vargas.
