Based on publications in the media, where the Secretary General of the ANEP, Albino Vargas, promotes roadblocks to prevent the passage of garbage trucks in Aserrí, a citizen filed a criminal complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office of Pavas.
García González stated that on September 11th, while Vargas was participating in a protest in Aserrí, he threatened to prevent the entry of garbage trucks in the landfill; which actually happened the next day. The complainant explained that the morning after the trade unionist’s visit, the protesters arrived earlier and blocked the transit.
In the complaint, the citizen said that
with this fact and others that are public knowledge, free transit was obstructed and public services were hindered and there was instigation on the part of Mr. Albino,”
so that preventive prison was also requested because of the danger of “criminal reiteration”.
The request for precautionary measures is also for Manuel Rodríguez Acevedo, from the workers union of the Costa Rican Oil Refinery, SINTRAPEQUIA, because according to the complainant, this union representative urged to prevent the exit or entry of tank containers in Moín port.
One day before the citizen complaint, that is to say, on September 18th, the Government also accused Rodríguez Acevedo of participating in the transportation of LPG. During the strike, Rodríguez urged RECOPE officials in Moín to prevent the distribution of liquefied gas and definitively paralyze the country and the government.
