American Expatriate Costa Rica

Alleged terrorists had no alert, but they won’t be allowed in

The Migration Police announced on Monday afternoon that after consulting more than three times the databases of the three suspected terrorists linked to the organization of ISIS in Central America, they found no links with the terrorist cell.

This was reported by Steve Madden, director of this police.

On June 9th, we received the controlled flow of migrants from Panama-Costa Rica. These people already come with a process of identification with the databases in Panama and here on the Costa Rican side, we do the same process, we check the database, and we establish that they do not have any information in it,

said Madden in video sent by the Press Department of the Ministry of Public Security.

Also, once that filter was made, the information alert was received by the Migration police,

which indicate that they have a highly dangerous profile and are again consulted in the database and come out negative (in terms of terrorism),”

According to the police chief.

According to the official,

all the coordination is done with the National Security Research Office of the United States government and effectively in the database.”

Additionally, the three alleged terrorists were located in Nicaragua and their entry into the country was rejected.
