Officials from the Ministry of Public Security ignore who is the owner of the land where a damaged light aircraft was found. It was located in a clandestine airstrip and it was allegedly used to transport drugs.
Due to the suspicion that the airstrip is used for illegal flights, officials from the Public Force went twice to the site but they couldn’t find the owner to inform him about the situation.
According to minister Gustavo Mata, there is no one on the farm. He talked to the Air Surveillance Service (SVA) and officials have to operate and disable the track, but they will have to accept the consequences.
It is a single-engine, Cessna, Turbo Centurion C210T aircraft, which was licensed in Costa Rica. Apparently, someone tried to cover it with leaves to mislead the authorities.
Nearby, police found plastic fuel containers and police dogs tested positive for the possible presence of cocaine and blood inside the aircraft. No people were found dead.
