As part of the results of Ruta IN project, which gathered 30 young people with a vocation in science and technology, a group of students created an application to try to prevent crashes into trains.
These young people created an app that tells the user the train distance so they can decide whether to cross or not. It also has an option for engine drivers so they can check their routes and see theirs and other trains, location.
Stefani Escalante, from San Ambrosio Catholic School, Brandon Aguirre and Josseline Poveda, from Covao School, and Allan Gamboa, from Don Bosco Technical School, are the creators of this project.
Moreover, during this program organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Telecommunications (MICITT), other groups of students created applications to take care of food, to pay parking meters, to determine the time in which buses will pass and an application on road lights powered with renewable energy.
