On Wednesday, a group of divers from the company Punta Uva Dive Center found a structure that could be from an old ship and that the sea in the South Caribbean brought back to the shore.
The company posted the pictures of the rib type structure on its Facebook site with the caption
In the southern Caribbean, the sea gives you surprises.”
The parts of that vessel appeared on Playa Grande in Punta Uva and caught the attention of several conservation groups, to first appreciate the discovery and try to study it. One of those organizations was the Community Center of Diving Ambassadors and Ambassadors of the Sea.
It seems to be a side of the helmet from the front. It measures approximately 12 meters. It has six beams that measure 20 × 12 inches and measure around two meters. The narrowest part measures approximately four meters. The nails are 30 centimeters,”
wrote the organization on Facebook after the study conducted by Salvador Van Dyke, a student in underwater archeology at the University of East Carolina.

Mauricio Álvarez, from the Conservation Federation of Costa Rica, pointed out that the Community Center believes that it could be the missing hull of the Daisy Gray logger built in 1936 and left adrift by his crew in 1954 when he was traveling to Honduras on his way to Cuba.
