The mobile application for formal taxis is getting closer to completion in Costa Rica. This was announced by the Public Services Regulatory Authority (ARESEP), an entity that already has developed 80% of the app.
It is expected that it calculates the rate for each route. Yesterday, ARESEP presented an advance of the technological device.
This proposal would allow users to know the price to pay on an established route (starting point and end point), which considers both the distance and the duration of the trip,”
said the regulatory body.
They also indicated that users may qualify the service according to several attributes, such as vehicle cleanliness, driver treatment, and security. The investment of the entity is 20 million colones.
