Last week, Arenal Volcano National Park opened its new infrastructure projects valued in $ 1.3 million.
These new projects are funded with resources provided by the BID-Tourism Project and include the conditioning of the Peninsula Path, which has a length of 1.2 km, the construction of the visitor center and exhibition spaces, improvements in the control and collection booth, and renovation works in the parking lots and sanitary services.
Arenal Volcano National Park is located in the northern region of Costa Rica, between the foothills of the Cordillera de Tilarán and the Plains of San Carlos. It has an area of 12,080 hectares and its altitude ranges from 400 to 1,755 meters above sea level. In addition, it has been in permanent activity since 1968.
