Ash emissions are reported from Turrialba Volcano

Turrialba Volcano has maintained a constant emission of passive ash, as reported on Tuesday by the National Seismological Network (RSN).

According to the report of the RSN, at least six events with a duration of 10 minutes to an hour were recorded.

The eruptive columns reached, in some cases, around 500 meters above the active crater due to the low wind speed,”

said the report by Dr. Mauricio M. Mora.

The emissions occurred at 1:06 a.m., 2:50 a.m., 4:53 a.m., 5:48 a.m., 6:40 a.m. and 7:01 a.m. The report states that the direction of dispersion of the ash has been variable, between the northwest and north.
