The Public Prosecutor’s Office informed that the six green turtles that were confiscated from a neighbor in Limón during the blockades earlier this month were released.
Last weekend, the turtles were released and are now in their habitat,”
explained the Office of the Prosecutor through its Twitter account.
For this case a man identified with the surname Winn was arrested.
The events occurred at the Cieneguita beach in downtown Limón, after the officers followed trailing tracks.
In a certain place they observed the animals overturned and with wounds in the shell. They were taken to a shelter in the area of Puerto Viejo for the respective care.
