Most of the care provided by the National Children’s Hospital (HNN) during Easter was directed towards patients with respiratory infections.
Carlos Jiménez, interim director of the medical center, explained that this year they saw a decrease in emergencies, compared to previous years.
It was a relatively quiet Easter compared to other years. At the medical emergencies level, 1,685 cases were treated from Monday to Sunday and the most important diagnosis was upper respiratory infections with a total of 280,”
explained the doctor.
Jiménez added that in previous weeks there were more cases of gastroenteritis and diarrhea, which dropped a little during Holy Days with 270 cases.
