Avanza Limpiezas company is not breaking the law

The Ministry of Health won’t invalidate the sanitary permit from Avanza Limpieza Company, as requested by lawyer Fernando Suñol, who filed an appeal against the institution.

According to the lawyer, there is an alleged irregularity because the company was granted a license to fumigate under the industrial classification ISIC 8129, type of risk B. However, the legislation states that the corresponding sanitary permit for pest control is ISIC 9000 , type of risk A.

According to Suñol, the company would be putting at risk thousands of people due to the conditions in which it operates.

However, after consulting the Ministry of Health, from October 10th, legal director Ronny Muñoz reported that the ministerial office had submitted the complaint to the Directorate General of Health and it submitted to the Legal Affairs office. They were waiting for the regional report, which was finally delivered by doctor Jimy Vargas, who stated:

The health operating permit was granted in accordance with the requirements of Executive Order No. 39472-S, General Regulations and Permits granted by the Ministry of Health.

In addition, an inspection determined that the place is located in the right place, according to the Health Operating Permit. The fumigants are biodegradable, they have the sanitary registration number and they also indicate their place of storage. The company has the physical and sanitary conditions and adequate safety measures for the development of the activity.
